The farming business was started in 1938 by Frank and Lillian Attwood just before the start of the 2nd World War on the edge of the Medway Towns, Stephen farmed with his father after attending farming college and S W Attwood & Partners was formed in 1981. Stephen’s son James took the same route after finishing school at St Edmunds Canterbury joined the business in 2016 making the third generation of the Attwood family working together. Over this time the business has expanded and diversified and now includes over 4000 acres of farming, residential property, residential lets, commercial lets, equestrian and country sports, grain storage and testing, engineering clay, Non- Haz, inert landfill, land drainage and specialist contracting.
